Before you decide
Questions,answered plainly
Including the ones where the honest answer is still “not yet”. If something here is not covered, write to us and we will add it.
- What do I actually have to do?
- Walk. Pick a route, connect your phone's health data once, and then carry on with your week. The kilometres you were already walking get counted towards it — there is nothing to open, start or remember.
- Do I need a watch or a special device?
- No. A phone is enough. We read the step count it already keeps, through Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android. If you do wear a watch, it will usually feed those same apps, so it works without any extra setup.
- Is there a time limit, and what if I miss it?
- Each route has a window — twenty-eight days for a long one, a fortnight for a short one — and it starts when you start, not on a fixed date. If life gets in the way the route stays where you left it; nothing resets overnight and nothing is taken back.
- What is the medal, exactly?
- A digital one. It is struck to your account when you finish the distance, it sits in your case beside the others, and it does not expire or disappear. It is not posted to you — we are not shipping physical medals at the moment, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
- What does it cost?
- Each challenge is a single payment — from €9.99 — and it is yours from then on. The price is on the challenge page before you are asked for anything, and there is no subscription attached to it today.
- What happens to my health data?
- The app reads your step and distance totals to move your marker, and that is all it is for. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and you can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app.
- Can I give a route to somebody else?
- Not yet through the site — it is being built. Write to us and we will sort a gift by hand until it is.
